Frommer's Review
With the exception of the baronial Wild Boar, which is located across the street, Mario's is the most exclusive and expensive restaurant in Nashville. In addition to the extensive wine list, you'll find vintages recommended in the margins of the main menu. Mario's is justly proud of its wine cellar, and rare wines and plenty of wine awards are on display in the restaurant's foyer. The menu is ostensibly northern Italian, so you might want to consider starting your meal with carpaccio. From there you can move on to the likes of duck breast with a plum sauce or perhaps Dover sole with pine nuts. However, traditionalists will likely opt for the rack of lamb in rosemary sauce. Should you wish to sample the atmosphere but can't afford dinner, you could have a drink in the bar (as long as you're appropriately attired). Jackets and ties are required for men.
