Frommer's Review
"Come to Goldie's, it's so fun. The Kosher food is Number 1!" Or so goes the motto of this often-overlooked gold mine. Tucked within a suburban shopping center, the deli draws regulars who lap up everything from chicken livers and latkes to knee-weakening chicken-noodle soup with matzo balls. New York-sized sandwiches come on a choice of pumpernickel or challah. Meats such as corned beef and pastrami, as well as chicken, tuna, and whitefish salads, are also sold by the pound. Though cramped and often crowded, a visit to this neighborhood deli is worth the trip. It's kid-friendly, too: A smiley-faced hot dog (or peanut butter and jelly sandwich), chips, and fountain drink will please even the pickiest children.
