Lincoln's landmark Cornhusker Hotel, 333 S. 13th St. (tel. 800/793-7474; www.thecornhusker.com), was recently bought by Marriott, and an overhaul of all 297 rooms has been completed and wireless Internet access added. Particularly interesting, though, are Ponderosa Ranch, 680 Saw Log Rd. (tel. 308/665-1585; www.ponderosaranch.net), a 3,600-acre working cattle ranch and guest house in Crawford; and Dancing Leaf Earth Lodge, 6100 E. Opal Springs Rd., near Wellfleet (tel. 308/963-4233; www.dancingleaf.com), where visitors can stay in replicas of Pawnee Indian dome-shaped earth lodges.
