Frommer's Review
At this restaurant, you can combine an excellent dinner with a visit to the oldest house on Nevis, and one of the island's most unusual hotels. No other restaurant on Nevis gives as strong an impression of being the extension of a stylish, elegant, somewhat "clubby" private home, and the presence, on-site, of the owners, adds enormously to its sense of welcome, stylishness, and cheer. Meals are served on the latticed porch of the main house, amid candles and good cheer. Maureen Lupinacci, who runs the place with her husband, Richard, combines Continental recipes with local ingredients. Enjoy a before-dinner drink in the British colonial-style living room, then move on to the likes of lemon grass-and-lime-flavored fish cakes with papaya-scented mayonnaise; ragout of snapper flavored with lemon grass and lime; marinated shrimp on black-bean cakes; and a delectable version of cold rum soufflé. One of the social and culinary highlights occurs every Wednesday, in season, when slow-roasted pig elicits many curious comments.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
