The servers in their cute hats and skinny ties are undeniably adorable, but the food and service aren’t as adorable as they used to be. The fried chicken is still dependably juicy, though, and our top choice, with some fried pickles. The rest of the menu is only okay, too much something (sweet, in the yams), not enough of something else (flavor, in the greens). But we’ve had good luck with the nightly specials, which seem to get more care, and it’s conveniently located on Frenchmen Street.
