A kicky name for a bland hotel, the most appealing thing about the Lex are its prices, which can drop to $159 (though they usually start a bit higher). So what the heck? You’re in Manhattan, on a boring stretch of Lexington Avenue, yes, but just one block from the fab Madison Square Park area. You’re bunking down in a clean, if very beige, room, with a good mattress and a staff that cares. That counts as a win in this pricey town.
