Frommer's Review
The lovely Three Mountain Inn is in the middle of the appealing village of Jamaica, in a historic white clapboard home of lovely wide-board pine walls. It has benefited from major upgrades under ambitious innkeepers, who have refurbished the rooms in a restrained country style. The accommodations range from cozy and basic rooms to outright sumptuous suites outfitted with whirlpools, gas fireplaces, and televisions with DVD players. Seven of the units are located in the adjacent Robinson House, and there's also a private detached cottage with such luxury trimmings as a double Jacuzzi, surround-sound entertainment system, skylights, and a private front porch. The inn is a good base for exploring southern Vermont; in winter, skiing at Stratton is a short drive away, and in summer you can walk to Jamaica State Park, where there's an easy serpentine hike along the river on an old rail bed. The award-winning dining room serves wonderful prix-fixe meals Wednesday through Sunday.
