This is the oldest extant cemetery (1789) and the most iconic. Here lie Marie Laveau, Bernard Marigny, and assorted other New Orleans characters. Louis the vampire from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles even has his (empty) tomb here. Also, the acid-dropping scene from Easy Rider was shot here.
