Frommer's Review
This is an offbeat, happening little establishment on the edge of the so-happening Frenchmen street scene. It's loose but not disorganized, and there couldn't be a better choice for laid-back travelers. B&B stands for bed-and-beverage -- the lobby is the highly enjoyable R Bar, and as a guest, you get two complimentary cocktails.
A long overdue stripped-to-the-walls redo of the rooms (converting them all into sometimes rather wee "suites" with separate sitting areas) has finally given this place the hip, clever, fresh look it totally deserves coupled with a great New Orleans vibe. Leather couches, exposed brickwork, gorgeous gleaming wood floors, geometric colors -- sure, most of the rooms are small, and two open onto the street, but if you are looking for something special in New Orleans, it's hard to beat. The attic accommodations is a big room with sloping ceilings, pleasing for those with starving-artist garret fantasies. Couples traveling together may love the smashing suite, with two large bedrooms and its own balcony; it's perfect for those wanting a party with its own accessible bar.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
