Frommer's Review
This place has had a couple of owners over time, but the current one has given it a solid upgrade, adding more antique elements to the splashy good-looking rooms and attending to other details that make it as likable as it's ever been. The rooms have good beds with high-quality linens, well-appointed bathrooms, and nearly all have whirlpool tubs. The Lillian suite is quite spacious and includes a Jacuzzi tub built for four or more. The least impressive room is also the cheapest, a modest space just off the kitchen. A hearty cooked breakfast (with delicacies like praline French toast and puff pancakes) is offered by the resident chef, and there is a fully stocked honor bar, along with a weekend wine-and-cheese party and daily snacks like fresh-baked brownies.
