New Orleans by way of a chain hotel -- but a good design for all that. Exposed brick walls in rooms help slightly relieve the generic quality. Bathrooms feel new if still cramped. Check out the punning painting in the lobby (there's a visual joke; see if you get it), which is attached to a courtyard-inspired (if indoors) bar that works better than you might think. This is a great location for Mardi Gras celebrations, and easy access to Quarter, CBD, and Uptown.
