Way uptown in the Riverbend area, Carrollton Station is a gourmet beer house that, thanks to some renovations to the room and the stage, is emerging as a prime folk, acoustic, and local rock venue in town. A long, narrow space means that folks at the back won't get to see much of what's up onstage, but hey, that puts them closer to the bar, so everyone wins. The crowd is a good mix of college students, music aficionados, and fans of whatever act is appearing on a given night.
