Frommer's Review
Despite the name, this place is more basement rumpus room (walls covered with stickers and old album covers) than Gothic church (well, there are some motley stained-glass windows). But it's been a bar since the 1930s, the jukebox plays The Cramps and Iggy Pop and the Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog," and the clientele is very David Lynchian (maybe still left over from the place's heyday 20 years ago!). Still, you might find this a scary dump rather than a cool dump.
