Frommer's Review
Piano music is featured here Wednesday through Saturday, but the real attraction is the bar itself -- it really is a carousel, and it really does revolve ("and has been since 1949!" said a justly proud employee). The music goes on until 2am (or simply "until" these days). But don't think of this as a cheesy place: It's really a great spot to step back in time and have a cocktail -- not a beer, of course, but a grown-up drink (with, unfortunately, grown-up prices, comparable to those found in New York City). A top choice for those not interested in Bourbon frat-party fun or even the young and the frenzied on Frenchmen Street. And if the bartender isn't busy or indifferent, they make a fine Sazerac.
