Though admittedly off the beaten path, this tiny, friendly dive is the perfect place for those looking for an authentic neighborhood bar. Co-owned by local musician Dave Clements, decorated (sort of) with Christmas lights, and featuring a great jukebox heavy on soul and R&B, this is the kind of place where everybody not only knows your name, but also your dog's name, 'cause you can bring the dog, too. There is almost no light at all, so make friends and prepare to be surprised. Naturally, Snake & Jake's can get really hot, crowded, and sweaty -- if you're lucky.
