Frommer's Review
Sleaze is fun, but there are limits. This bar is part of a trend to convert seedy old taverns into places where you won't feel as if you have to wash your hands after you touch anything inside. Monkey Hill used to be an establishment called Sticky Fingers, which tells you a lot about the hand-washing requirements back then. It was also once a frat-boy bar, the mention of which sends many a local dreamily back to the time when they threw up here. Now it's really quite nice on the inside, and while we can do without the yuppie meat-market weekend scene, the rest of the time it has the best happy hour in town, which you can enjoy from comfy sofas and chairs. If you aren't a yuppie, you probably will wish it was still sleazy, but we've got other options for you.
