With its walls of glass, bold contemporary styling, and location at the end of a pier on the bayfront, the Saffron Salmon is my favorite restaurant in Newport. As you dine on pan-seared salmon with saffron risotto cakes, you'll watch commercial fishermen unloading their catch just outside the window. Fish just doesn't get any fresher than this. Keep an eye out for sea lions, too. At lunch, go for the saffron salmon sandwich.
