Frommer's Review
This whimsical, offbeat resort is self-consciously funky and out-of-the-way, positioned within a brightly painted compound of vernacular wooden cottages. The island's most westerly resort, directly beside Love Beach, several minutes' drive west from Cable Beach, is the closest thing to Jamaica in The Bahamas. In fact, it's associated with the Jamaica-based chain of hotels (Island Outposts) owned by Christopher Blackwell, the music-industry entrepreneur who discovered and promoted Bob Marley's talent. Accommodations are within airy, old-fashioned brightly painted cottages, each simply but artfully furnished, island-style, in a manner that encourages barefoot living if not altogether nudity. Prices vary according to the unit's view and the size, and whether or not it's raised on stilts above the rocky landscape on which the resort sits (units on stilts get more breezes and better views).
