Frommer's Review
Your luxury stay starts the moment you step off the plane. A Six Senses booth is immediately to your left when you enter the airport. Drop off your tag and staff will retrieve your baggage while you're ushered out of the small, cramped airport and into an air-conditioned van where comfy leather seats, bottled water, and a cool face towel are waiting. Neck pillows and daily newspapers and magazines make it an enjoyable 30-minute ride to the resort. Note: You have to book the airport transfer service prior to arrival. It's well worth the $10 (£5.55). The resort itself is on the busy main beach street in Nha Trang. In the afternoons, the lobby is filled with the peaceful sounds of the zither and to rung (a percussion instrument made of bamboo rods) being played by two local musicians. You can still hear outside traffic when walking through the resort, but it's nothing but ocean sounds inside your villa. The rooms are beautifully decorated with bamboo-accented wooden furniture. Bathrooms are spacious and large doors lead to the Jacuzzi bathtub in a private outdoor enclave. If you can, spring for a beach villa, so that you can almost fall from your balcony onto the sand and surf. It's the little things that make this resort special: native art and handiwork all about, the bowl with floating flowers in the bathroom, the basin of rainwater on your private veranda for rinsing sandy feet, the burning incense in the open-air lobby. The staff is excellent at meeting your every needs, from helping set up in-room internet connections, to sending a driver out to buy a new mobile phone card. You won't want, or need, to leave this luxury oasis.
