Yes, there are tons of souvenir shops here selling everything from commemorative spoons to snow globes. But there are a couple of things you can get only on the Canadian side, such as a Cuban cigar (which, of course, you're not supposed to bring back over the border). Lots of places sell them (you'll see the signs): One of the better places is Gordon's Cigars and Pipes, 5860 Ferry St., Niagara Falls, Ontario (tel. 905/358-7425). His best cigars are in the back room. And for something emblazoned with the red coats of the Canadian Mounties, head to the Mounted Police Trading Post, 5685 Falls Ave. (tel. 800/372-0472 or 905/374-2288). If outlet malls are your thing, you have a couple of options: Fashion Outlets, 1900 Military Rd. (tel. 800/414-0475), has Calvin Klein, Gap, and Nine West, among others, while on the other side, head to Canada One Factory Outlets, 7500 Lundy's Lane, Niagara Falls, Ontario (tel. 866/284-5781 or 905/356-8989), with Esprit, Nike, and the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory -- mmmm.
