Embassy Suites ReviewWith spacious suites that rise 42 stories directly above the falls, the Embassy Suites doesn't disappoint with its square footage or its views. Up top, the best rooms have fireplaces, Jacuzzis, and curving windows with dramatic views of both falls. There's also the bonus of the extensive breakfast buffet each morning and a happy hour (includes two complimentary alcoholic beverages) each evening, plus a large indoor pool. Still, this is no Ritz-Carlton, so while the furniture is comfy and serviceable, it's not exactly high-end. Also, be prepared: Some of the living rooms are windowless and dark. | 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
