Hotels

Niagara Falls isn't Vegas -- a good thing, for the most part -- but it is showing signs of appreciating the demand for high-end hospitality. If you enjoy the bright lights -- and the casino scene -- of Niagara Falls after dark, one luxe hotel choice is the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort (6380 Fallsview Blvd.; tel. 888/325-5788; www.fallsviewcasinoresort.com), which opened in 2004. It has its own 18,580-sq.-m (199,993-sq.-ft.) casino, a performing-arts theater, a spa, and 10 dining spots. Another good hotel bet is the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel (5875 Falls Ave.; tel. 888/234-8410 or 905/374-4445), which offers rooms with a truly gorgeous view of the Falls; many have balconies. There's also the Skyline Inn (5685 Falls Ave.; tel. 800/263-7135 or 905/374-4444), which is right by Casino Niagara.
