"Life is too short to eat boring food" is the motto of this urbane bistro, a block from the MacArthur Center and The Waterside. Indeed, the food is anything but boring, creatively blending local produce with flavors from Thailand, Jamaica, and other spice-oriented locales. The menu changes frequently and always has a couple of surprises. For example, the crab cakes might be served with a tongue-teasing jalapeño sauce. The dining room is nicely decorated with colorful works by local artist Tom Barnes. This is more a fine dining spot than the more casual The 219 , with prices to prove it.
