Across the street from the Chrysler Museum of Art in the Ghent district, this grand three-story brick Colonial Revival mansion with an expansive veranda was built in 1899. You will find a plethora of golden oak here -- paneling, sliding doors, and moldings, plus a hand-carved fireplace in the living room and a soaring staircase ascending to the rooms upstairs. In the basement, a billiards room boasts a big-screen TV. Guest quarters are beautifully furnished with four-poster beds and one-of-a-kind antiques. Five units have gas-log fireplaces. The grandest also sports a sunken hot tub and a walk-in steam room/shower big enough for two. Gourmet breakfasts are served in your room if you like. Your small pooch is welcome here.
