Across the street from The Chrysler Museum in the Ghent district, this grand three-story brick Colonial Revival mansion with an expansive veranda was built in 1899. You will find a plethora of golden oak here -- paneling, sliding doors, and moldings plus a hand-carved fireplace in the living room and a soaring staircase ascending to the rooms upstairs. Guest quarters are beautifully furnished with four-poster beds and one-of-a-kind antiques. Five units have gas-log fireplaces. The grandest also sports a sunken hot tub and a walk-in steam room/shower big enough for two. Host Carl Albero serves a gourmet breakfast and afternoon sherry and port, while his Yorkshire terrier, Stormi, provides company for your own small pooch.
