Built in 1906, this hotel underwent a renovation a few years ago which was intended to restore it to boutique-hotel status. The two-story lobby with floor-to-ceiling paned windows and the brass elevator doors were repaired to their former grand-hotel status, and the rooms were improved, but the project stopped short of luxury status. Today it's a reasonably priced alternative to the big chain properties here, and it enjoys a convenient location in the midst of Granby Street's restaurant row.
