Freemason Inn Bed and Breakfast

Although this three-story, 1897-vintage Victorian is technically on York Street, the house actually faces Brambleton Avenue in the historic Freemason neighborhood, a few blocks walk to downtown. Tall windows and white walls brighten the entire house during the day, while working gas fireplaces in the antiques-laden guest quarters add coziness at night. Three of the four rooms also have two-person Jacuzzi tubs. Two have king-size beds, including the Wishing Oak Bridal Suite, named for an ancient oak tree under which many a Norfolk knot was tied. A back porch with wicker furniture overlooks a landscaped courtyard. Breakfasts are served in bed if you wish, wine and cheese are put out each evening, and bicycles are available for guests to ride.
