Frommer's Review
In a town where pub food is the rule, Horsefeathers has been leading the pack since 1976. Set in the village, across from the train station, this local hangout is often loud and boisterous, filled with everyone from families to off-duty bartenders. The music has become more of a draw in recent years. The food is sometimes hard to pin down, ranging from tortilla soup to eggplant ravioli with a red-pepper cream sauce, but it tends to gather strength in the middle: chicken wings, grilled steaks, burgers, grilled fish, an apple-smoked bacon cheddar burger. The lobster-crab cakes are good, as is the Harvey -- a house pastrami sandwich with onions, tomato, and poppyseed dressing -- and the buttery lobster-scallop pie.
