Frommer's Review
The Cranmore Inn has the feel of a 19th-century boardinghouse -- which is appropriate, because that's what it is. Open since 1863, this three-story Victorian home is a short walk from North Conway's village center. Its heritage -- it's the oldest continuously operating hotel in North Conway -- adds charm and quirkiness, but comes with occasional drawbacks such as uneven water pressure. Still, it offers good value thanks to the handy location, the hospitality of the innkeepers, and the layout of the guest rooms. Interestingly, some of the 16 units in the main inn consist of two bedrooms, connected in the middle by one private hallway bathroom; these are very family-friendly. Three additional big "kitchen units" are housed in an annex; these elaborate suites come with their own kitchens, gas woodstoves, separate dining rooms, living rooms, and even personal computers. Again, great for families.
