Right on Main Street in Lake Placid, this highly popular restaurant comes complete with Adirondack antiques, a fireplace, large bay windows overlooking Mirror Lake, and satisfying meals that keep 'em coming. There's nothing shocking or inventive on the menu, just good pastas, meat, and fish. Try the rack of ribs basted with the house red-ale barbecue sauce, or the shrimp and scallops simmered in a garlic cream sauce with mushrooms and shallots, topped with puff pastry. An extensive kids menu means the little ones will be happy as well here. The house brews, too, are great, especially the Ausable Wulff Red Ale.
