Frommer's Review
If you enjoy the kitsch value of Lake Placid, you'll adore this small hotel just 3 blocks from the Olympic Center -- in the lobby, you'll find some 450 trophies and medals from ski jumper extraordinaire Art Devlin. Now run by Art's son (also Art), this hotel is a little less than extraordinary, but a good-value option. Rooms are simple, but spacious and painted in nice bright colors. Some give you a glimpse of high peaks, even from a balcony, while others look out onto the less-romantic parking lot. Rooms in the back building are bigger, but you should splurge on one of the deluxe rooms, added in 2007. The best ones have plasma TVs, 180-degree-view balconies, huge showers, Jacuzzi tubs, and lots of space -- one of the best values in town.
Facilities:
Heated outdoor pool (summer only)
