Set on a 50-acre farm that includes pinot noir vineyards, this is the quintessential wine-country inn. A mile-long gravel driveway leads to the inn, which sits atop a hill with commanding views of the Willamette Valley, snow-capped Cascades peaks, and the Coast Range. Large decks wrap around both floors of the inn, and some of the rooms have their own fireplaces. Big breakfasts get visitors off to a good start each morning. Pull up a chair on the porch, pour a glass of the inn's own pinot noir, gaze out over the rolling hills, and you'll probably start thinking about cashing in the mutual funds to start a vineyard of your own.
