The Maid's Head Hotel ReviewIn business since 1272, the Maid's Head claims to be the oldest continuously operated hotel in the United Kingdom. Located next to Norwich Cathedral in the oldest part of the city, it has Elizabethan and Georgian architectural styles. The Georgian section has a prim white entry and small-paned windows. Many of the bedrooms have oak beams evocative of the hotel's earlier days. Each is supplied with bowls of fresh fruit and a complimentary newspaper. Traditional services such as shoe cleaning, breakfast in bed, and afternoon cream teas are offered. The four-poster Queen Elizabeth I Suite (where the Tudor monarch allegedly once slept) is much sought after.
