Frommer's Review
This modern complex, owned and operated by the province, consists of a central lodge and a series of smaller cottages and outbuildings. It's situated in a remote part of the coast, adjacent to hiking trails and a popular boating area at the mouth of the Liscomb River. The lodge bills itself as "the nature lover's resort," and indeed it offers good access to both forest and water. But it's not exactly rustic, with well-tended lawns, bland modern architecture, shuffleboard, a marina, and even an oversize outdoor chessboard. In addition, plenty of kid-friendly offerings (table tennis, horseshoe pitches, and so forth) make this a good choice for vacationing families. The rooms are modern and motel-like; the cottages and chalets have multiple bedrooms and are good for families. The dining room is open to the public and serves resort fare.
Facilities:
Restaurant; indoor pool; tennis court; fitness center; free bikes; coin-op washers and dryers; shuffleboard
