This is the most famous bratwurst eatery in the city -- stop here for lunch as you explore historic Nürnberg. Prices are kept at a 1970s level, but portions are as large as ever. In winter, you'll find an open hearth to warm you; in summer, this is a refreshingly cool retreat from the heat. Expect a cheerful, mostly non-English-speaking staff, a savory collection of soups (including potato soup and liver dumpling soup), and a strong emphasis on such garnishes as potato salad and sauerkraut.
