Maritim attracts those who prefer modern convenience to old-world charm. It used to be the city's most stylish hotel, until the Méridien chain upgraded the Grand. Rooms are of good size -- although not as spacious as the Grand's -- with large beds and many extras, such as large bathrooms with tub/shower combos. Try an upper-floor room for a panoramic view over Nürnberg's medieval fortifications and busy traffic artery.
