In the historic center of the city, this restored hotel is installed in a building dating from 1675. However, its interior has been completely modernized with all the latest gadgetry, and there are such extras as a winter garden and a rooftop sun terrace. A family-style atmosphere prevails, and the historic ambience was preserved during wholesale renovations. Miraculously the building survived massive damage during the heavy bombings of WWII. Bedrooms are beautifully furnished with antique styling including draped beds and swag curtains. If you prefer less traditional rooms, there are some that are decorated in a more modern style. The restaurant on-site serves a classic Franconian cuisine.
