Frommer's Review
Management of this high-rise property has been taken over by Ohana Hotels & Resorts. One of the pluses to this property is the great location -- a block from Waikiki Beach, across the street from the upscale Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, and next door to bargain shopping at the International Market Place. The rooms feature Berber carpets, contemporary furniture, voicemail, and shower-only bathrooms. Sadly, the passing of Don Ho in 2007 meant the closing of his show, but another awe-inspiring show is in residence here: The Magic of Polynesia, with illusionist John Hirokana.
