Paradise Bay Resort ReviewFormerly Schrader's Windward Country Inn, this resort changed ownership in 2010. Since the purchase, the new owners have been doing a full remodel of the property: All the rooms and cottages have new plumbing and wiring, hardwood and slate floors, and new furniture. There are plans to add a spa in the future. The property is nestled in a tranquil, tropical setting on Kaneohe Bay, only a 40-minute drive from Waikiki. The complex is made up of cottage-style motels and a collection of older homes, as well as a picnic area with barbecue grills. The cottages contain either a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave or a full kitchen. Prices are based on the views: Depending how much you're willing to pay, you can look out over a Kahuluu fishpond, the Koolau Mountains, or Kaneohe Bay. Watersports are available at an additional cost; don't miss the complimentary 2-hour boat cruise with snorkeling and kayaking. Evening activities include a dinner and Hawaiian music night and mojito party night with free pupu. Tip: When booking, ask for a unit with a lanai; that way you'll end up with at least a partial view of the bay. Facilities: Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
