You can't beat the location of the Ilikai Hotel -- sitting at the entrance to Waikiki, it overlooks the Ala Wai Harbor and is within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. A rooftop pool with cabanas, reflecting pool in the lobby/courtyard, spa, second-floor pool, and cafe in the porte-cochere are some of the features here. Public areas display the spectacular ocean view, and rooms overlook the ocean and mountains. Ownership of these hotel/condo units has been in dispute over the last few years with lots of threats to close them down. Currently that fight seems to have died down. Great deals are offered for seniors, and family packages include rooms with full kitchen, midsize car, and free parking. Check the website for online deals, which can make this property very appealing money-wise.
