Schlosshotel Linderhof ReviewThis is about as close as you can get to spending the night in King Ludwig's Linderhof palace. Rebuilt in 1876 about 350m (1,150 ft.) away from its original location now occupied by the palace, this farmhouse hotel has gables, shutters, and half-timbering in the style of a Bavarian chalet. Rooms are dignified and high ceilinged, with tasteful hints of 19th-century gentility but with modern conveniences, such as in the bathrooms.
