Restaurant 213 ReviewThose who love good food may want to venture out to this tiny restaurant along an unassuming stretch of Business Route 13 in Fruitland, south of Salisbury. The chef-owner -- who has cooked at the White House -- has crammed 13 tables into a low space and topped them with white cloths and stylish white dishes. Those plates are filled with silky sauces, which pair with fish and meat in a most heavenly way. The wine list runs 50 pages and includes descriptions, pictures of the labels, and a chart listing which wines pair with the regular menu items. Dinner includes an amuse bouche and, at the end, a package with something for breakfast -- a nice touch. Sunday's prix-fixe menu offers five courses for $35. | 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
