Right in the center of O.C., directly on the beach, this eight-story hotel is convenient to everything. Its resort amenities make it a good choice for a weekend or a week. There are hammocks by the pool, a newly resurfaced tennis court, and a 10-person Jacuzzi. Each long, narrow room has a balcony and sitting area on one side, sleeping area in the middle, and kitchenette by the door. Units on the top three floors have fireplaces (electric -- romantic, but not hot, in summertime). Room no. 813 has views of both ocean and bay.
