In addition to the hotels below, budget travelers gravitate toward Hostal Las Orquídeas (tel. 084/204-032), which has clean and simple rooms with a shared bathroom around a courtyard for $20; and Hostal La Ñusta, Carretera Ocobamba (tel. 084/204-032), a clean and friendly place with good views from the balcony but small and plain rooms. Rooms are $10 per person with a shared bathroom. Also worth a look if the town is getting full is Hostal Muna Tika, Av. Bentinero s/n (tel./fax 084/204-111; tika@latinmail.com), with pleasant, simple double rooms for $25. Seven of the 19 rooms have private bathrooms; the others are S/50 ($14) per person.
