Getting There

Olympia is on I-5 at the junction with U.S. 101, which leads north around the Olympic Peninsula. Connecting the city to the central Washington coast and Aberdeen/Hoquiam is U.S. 12/Wash. 8.

The nearest airport with scheduled service is Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, 54 miles north. Capital Aeroporter (tel. 800/962-3579 or 360/754-7113; www.capair.com) provides a shuttle between the airport and Olympia.

There is Amtrak (tel. 800/872-7245; www.amtrak.com) rail service to Olympia; the station is at 6600 Yelm Hwy. SE.
