Frommer's Review
It's easy to pretend you're the honored guest in a nobleman's house when dining at the Ritz-Carlton's premier restaurant, decorated in elegant drawing-room style with a fireplace, landscape paintings, still lifes, and other objets d'art. The menu of fresh seafood and seasonal dishes is French, but dishes are presented kaiseki style, as is the rage these days. If the sautéed turbot flavored with thyme and accompanied by eggplant ravioli or the chocolate-flavored pigeon breast with nuts served with cauliflower puree and pepper butter sauce don't fit into your budget, come for the set lunch, which gives choices of appetizers and main dishes, along with recommended wines. Weekdays, there's even a special ladies' lunch for ¥3,500 ($29). In any case, make a reservation: Many consider this to be Osaka's finest restaurant.
