Frommer's Review
This is a fine small hotel on the island of Nakanoshima in the heart of Osaka, about a 12-minute walk from Osaka Station. Its location, next to Osaka's Festival Hall, makes it a favorite among concertgoers and musicians, though business travelers favor it as well. Dating from 1960, it's also one of Osaka's older hotels, and it has aged gracefully. Rooms, with contemporary furnishings, include very small singles with no closets, though the standard doubles and twins are of average size for its price category. Deluxe rooms add love seats and vanities. I prefer rooms that face the river -- although there's little boat traffic and nothing really to see, the view helps convey a sense of spaciousness.
Facilities:
4 restaurants (Japanese, Western, buffet, coffee shop); bar; lounge; barbershop; in-room massage; same-day laundry/dry-cleaning service; nonsmoking rooms
