Sheraton Miyako Hotel ReviewA multilingual staff providing excellent service, easy access to both Itami and Kansai airports, and good dining choices make this hotel popular, especially for business travelers. It's also well located for sightseeing, with the Osaka Museum of History, Osaka Castle, and Namba with its many bars and restaurants all 1.5km (1 mile) away. Spacious and comfortable rooms offer city views (there are no other high buildings near the hotel), bedside controls for lighting and other functions, down quilts, and a choice of pillows. The atrium swimming pool, with a sliding roof, is a great place to relax, but families will be disappointed to learn that it is not open to children 11 and under. Facilities: 6 restaurants; 2 bars; child-care center (¥5,250 for 2 hr.); executive-level rooms; health club w/Jacuzzi, steam and dry sauna (fee: ¥3,450); 25m (82-ft.) atrium pool (fee: ¥1,050); racquetball and tennis courts; room service; smoke-free rooms Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. | 0 stars | Frommer's Recommended | |
| 1 stars | Frommer's Highly Recommended | |
| 2 stars | Frommer's Very Highly Recommended | |
| 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
