Albert at Bay Suite Hotel ReviewThis Centretown hotel is one of my favorite secret digs in Ottawa, even if it is a bit off the beaten track in a neighborhood with nothing to do at night. In a converted apartment house, it's one of Ottawa's best buys for longer stay -- and just as nice for a night or two, since all the customary conveniences of a conventional hotel are also in place. All the units are suites, and they're huge: the smallest have one bedroom and a sofa bed; a living room with terrace; two bathrooms; two TVs; and a full kitchen with appliances, dishes, and flatware. I've cooked many a meal here. The rooftop conceals a patio with picnic tables and lounge chairs. Free wireless high-speed Internet access is provided throughout, and parking is in a garage right beneath the hotel (it's a bit tight). There's a popular "kid's club" daily during July and August, and the cooking facilities in each suite are great for families year-round. For provisions, there's a tiny 24-hour convenience store at street level, and for diners there's a decent restaurant and pub both on premises as well. Facilities: Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
