Though this structure once housed another hotel, this is really an entirely different facility, opened in 1999. The formula for this expanding chain sets it roughly midway between a roadside motel and a first-class hotel, with limited personal service but fairly complete facilities. Guest rooms are intentionally businesslike, with thoughtfully designed work areas and voice mail. Wireless high-speed Internet access is standard. Morning paper and free coffee are included. A large parking lot adjoins, and all of ByWard Market lies just beyond.
