A L'Araignee Gourmand ReviewThis is the oldest hotel-restaurant in Oualidia (opened in 1983), and although the rooms are looking a bit tired, the restaurant still serves some of the best seafood in town. A lush garden -- and owner Ahmed Adhaem -- welcomes guests into the large building, where dark stained-wood paneling and fishnets adorn the interior. The rooms are located on an upper floor, and although there hasn't been much refurbishment undertaken over the years, most offer fantastic lagoon views and they're the cheapest in town. The large ground-floor dining hall is located on the lagoon's edge, and is usually packed on the weekends with Moroccans from Casablanca and Marrakech. The set menus are popular (starter of a half-dozen oysters with salad, followed by two courses of seafood and dessert), or you can choose from a menu packed with very reasonably priced fresh seafood.
